Minimum Order Quantity
1 × 20 ft container (approx. 25 MT) bagged. 500 MT minimum for bulk vessel. Trial quantities available for qualification.
Packaging
Bulk, 1.5 MT jumbo bags, or 30 × 50 kg PP/paper bags loaded inside a jumbo bag for faster loading and discharge. Bulk vessel loading for tonnages above 25,000 MT.

Storage & Handling
Store in a dry, covered warehouse, bags off the ground and away from walls. Cement absorbs atmospheric moisture, which causes lump formation and progressive strength loss. Use within 3 months of production for full rated strength; shelf life is nominally 6 months in sealed bags under dry storage.

A batch-specific CoA is issued with every shipment. Third-party inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas or an inspector of your choice can be arranged at the buyer’s cost.

Portland Cement Type II — Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Type II sulfate resistant?
A lower tricalcium aluminate content. C₃A is the clinker phase that reacts with sulfate ions to form ettringite, and that reaction is expansive — it cracks the concrete from the inside. Our Type II holds C₃A to 6.4% against the 8% ceiling, which gives moderate resistance. For severe sulfate exposure you want Type V, below 5%.
When is Type II the right choice over Type I?
Two situations. First, concrete cast against soil or groundwater with moderate sulfate levels — foundations, buried pipes, culverts, retaining walls. Second, mass pours where the heat generated by hydration would crack the section as it cools; Type II runs cooler and slower than Type I.
Does Type II sacrifice strength?
No. Our Type II reaches 450 kg/cm² at 28 days — comfortably above the 315 minimum and in fact above our Type I-425 figure. What it does is get there slightly more slowly: 220 kg/cm² at 3 days and 320 kg/cm² at 7 days. Plan your formwork striking times accordingly.
What is free CaO and why is it reported?
Uncombined lime left over from the kiln. If it is too high it hydrates slowly in the hardened concrete and expands, which is what soundness testing catches. Ours runs 1.4%, with autoclave expansion at 0.06% against a 0.8% limit — well inside the safe range.
How should Type II cement be stored?
Dry and covered, bags off the ground on pallets and clear of external walls. Use within 3 months of production for full rated strength; nominal shelf life in sealed bags under dry storage is 6 months.
Do you supply high sulfate-resistant cement as well?
Yes. For severe sulfate exposure, our API Class G HSR well cement holds C₃A to 1.90% and is tested to API Spec 10A-2019. Type V construction cement can also be sourced on request.
